About Society For Holistic Approach To Planned Environment (SHAPE)
Established in 1991 in Saltlake, Kolkata, and duly registered under the West Bengal Societies Registration Act 1961, SHAPE stands as a distinguished consulting firm committed to comprehensive planning and holistic social development. Operating primarily across Eastern, NorthEastern, and Central India, SHAPE serves an array of clients, including Central and State Government agencies, non government organizations, large corporates and multilateral organizations. Till date SHAPE has engaged with more than 25 development partners and state agencies. It's expertise encompasses urban and rural planning, spanning thematic areas such as education, digital literacy, health, housing, gender equality, environmental sustainability, livelihood initiatives, and geospatial planning. With focus on professionalism, SHAPE strives to deliver impactful solutions that foster sustainable progress in communities nationwide.

Shape Charitable Trust (SACHETA) - Associate:
SACHETA was founded on 19th August 2005 (Registration No. 4473) as a philanthropic trust. While the main focus has been on education, SACHETA also works on the principle of holistic development, providing support in areas of health, livelihood support and environment upgradation, keeping in view the local needs and challenges.
KM Finpro Consultancy (KMF) - Technical Associate:
KMF is a mission-driven consulting firm with experienced advisors to social sector stakeholders, corporates and business leaders. Through the combination of customized consulting services and insights, KMF helps clients around the world to create and redefine value. KMF has been founded by banking, financial and social impact practitioners with deep sector knowledge and a well diversified cumulative experience.

TRCSC is a Jamshedpur based organization focused on different disciplines, committed for sustained development of poor and downtrodden communities.

NBJK, Hazaribag is an organization focused on education, health and hygiene among needy class . They are also actively engaged in environment, socio-economic and livelihood development support.
Society for Rural Industrialization (SRI):
SRI, Ranchi was registered in 1984 under Societies Registration Act XXI of 1860. SRI adopted a philosophy of working, terming it “Philosophy of 3 Cs”- Competence, Confidence and Comprehension. SRI initiated training of tribal youth in different skill. Through these trainees technology infusion was initiated in rural areas.
Center for Education (CED):
CED is a Ranchi based NGO and is active since 1977. They provide relief to the suffer or victims caused due to natural calamities , operates govt. sponsored training programs and more. They have also established Faculties, Departments, Divisions, Centers, Institutes, Colleges, Community Services, Social Services, Charitable Services.
SUCHETANA:
SUCHETANA, West Bengal is a grass root level women organization, working over two decades for the upliftment of rural untouchable women and hapless children.

Initiater: Late Dr. R L Muni Chakravorti
Late Professor R. L. Muni Chakravorti, formerly of KGP, IIT, where he led in the Architect & Planning Department, was the esteemed Founder of SHAPE. With nearly five decades of expertise, he excelled as a teacher and professional architect. Even post-retirement, his passion for holistic planning and development remained steadfast, shaping his consultancy endeavors. His enduring involvement with SHAPE until his last day speaks to his unwavering dedication, making him a perpetual guiding force.
Secretary: Tushar Kanti Bhattacharyya
Shri Tushar, armed with a Master’s degree in Economics from Calcutta University, has been an integral member of SHAPE since its inception. With over 30 years of dedicated service, he has evolved into a seasoned development specialist, particularly in the realm of holistic development and livelihoods. As one of SHAPE's principal figures, Tushar channels the majority of his time into fostering holistic development initiatives. His unwavering commitment extends to his leadership role within SHAPE, where he guides a team of young professionals in development consulting, showcasing his dedication to fostering sustainable progress within communities.

Dr. Soumyadeb, a seasoned homeopath with over 25 years of expertise in holistic medicine, is a cornerstone of impact within SHAPE. His dedication extends beyond clinical practice, as he actively leads various health initiatives and community development programs. Dr. Soumyadeb's leadership within SHAPE has been instrumental in spearheading initiatives aimed at promoting community well-being and vitality. Additionally, he serves as a mentor, sharing his extensive knowledge with practitioners and enthusiasts alike. Sri Tridib, an impact practitioner with a robust background in Geographical Information System (GIS), is a pivotal member of SHAPE since 2012. With a professional journey spanning over 14 years, Tridib brings expertise in digital mapping and land use planning to SHAPE's diverse portfolio. He holds a Post Graduation degree in Remote Sensing and GIS from Jadavpur University, Department of Oceanographic Studies, complemented by a Bachelor's degree in Applied Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering from West Bengal University of Technology. Alongside his contributions to SHAPE, Tridib dedicates considerable time to teaching and mentoring students, showcasing his commitment to fostering talent and driving impactful change in the realm of holistic development.

Shri Bagchi holds a Master's degree in Economics from Calcutta University and has been actively engaged with SHAPE.
